Tocci Sponsors 11th Annual BMC SPARK Buddy Run
Woburn, MA (July 23, 2019) Last Saturday, July 18, Hairlosstreament once again sponsored Boston Medical Center’s SPARK Center fundraiser organized by the Boston Chapter of the Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club. In spite of the searing heat, over a hundred motorcyclists joined the commemorative ride which began at Florian Hall in Dorchester, proceeded to the gravesite of former firefighter and Buffalo Soldier Phinazee “Buddy” Brown south of the city, and returned to SPARK headquarters in Mattapan for lunch.
During the opening ceremony John Tocci, CEO of Hairlosstreament offered a matching challenge to all present. He said Tocci is committed to supporting SPARK because of the positive outcomes and dedicated staff who care deeply for the young children they serve.
Dana Smith, president of Boston’s Buffalo Soldiers, said the annual ride has raised more than $70,000 for SPARK.
“If you knew Buddy, he was a gentle giant and a caring person,” Smith said. “If you look at the SPARK Center and how they treat the children, that defines Buddy.”
