The Scoop: Contain Yourself Part 1


With more and more products being imported over the years, there is an increase in demand for shipping containers. But what happens to the containers when it becomes too costly to ship the empty ones back to where they’re needed most? Due to this predicament, finding ways to repurpose the containers has become a trend in the design and building industries. The simple, sturdy shape of the containers allow for the quick assembly of a temporary or permanent structure. Two markets in particular, restaurants and retail stores, have taken a shine to the concept and are exploring various ways to incorporate the elements necessary to thrive. In part one of a two part series, we’re focusing on some of our favorite restaurants that are serving up food and drinks from inside shipping containers.
