Spotlighting Angelo Syrniotis
What do you love about the construction industry? The interaction with different people and personalities and being part of a team. Coming from architecture originally, I also wanted to see how things go together in the real world and in the field as opposed to just on paper. I like the unique set of challenges that each project brings and I look forward to that.
What do you love about Tocci? Our commitment to technology and being on the cutting edge.
What gets you out of bed in the morning? The sense of accomplishment you feel once you step back and look at the project when it’s done. The fact that it’s something you can feel proud to have been a part of.
What is your guilty pleasure? Vegas- the ultimate guilty pleasure! What’s not to like?
What is the best advice you were even given? Probably the Golden Rule- something that everyone is taught (or should be taught) from a very young age. “Do onto others as you would have done unto you.” It’s a teaching that’s so fundamental, yet so universal.
What is the coolest project you’ve worked on? The one I’m currently involved with, the Abbot Mill project in Westford. To begin, the place is a maze of different buildings and levels, which will make for some very cool units. Beyond that, we’re doing a lot of different things there for the very first time, and there are several elements of old meets new.
